And through my talks with her, I found out she has a daughter with autism. And I asked her if she would mind if I interviewed her, and she said yes. So it's been really great. Again, it's been a positive experience for her. And I wanted now, I should say autism is another one of those umbrella terms that covers many things

Really enjoyed this one. And was so glad to hear of teachers in IEP having a great relationship with parents.

So, again, I thank you for doing this, and I really appreciate you sharing this story, because it really makes me feel that to know that there are, you know, great, you know, stories of in other, you know, districts in the country about, you know, success stories with, you know, IEP and, you know, students with special needs. You have been a very wonderful, you know, insight for me

But that was an opportunity where my child taught me just from seeing what she went through and just realizing that some of her experiences were very similar to what I went through as a child. Leanne and I talked about just that little girl, little Kayla, and how in that day and age of autism spectrum and some of these issues that we work to support children on today, they didn't know much about, and even if they did, it was seen as being more of a boys issue

They kick a**, and you are definitely one of them. So thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for all you do and for inspiring others. You are exactly the reason why I do this podcast. Have a good day. Bye

I thank you ladies for bringing this story to swell. I learned I'm autistic at 46. I'm 48 now. And it is always, always refreshing to hear stories where parents are celebrating their child instead of being devastated by the label. And it gives me hope for the future. So I just wanted to say thank you

There's no worries, there's no stress, there's no concerns. And so they have trouble wanting to fully incarnate into their bodies. It can be fixed and healed with energy healing sessions, but it's just something to keep in mind. They just are basically caught between two worlds, which is why they have some more challenges than most people. And so one of the things that can really help them is soothing but actually using the Earth to help them soothe and help them ground into their bodies

@MissKaylaSue Thank You so much for sharing your story of yourself and Diana. Agree with so much of your points.

And I thought about that in regards to my situation with my CP, similar to how people who, when they're older, if they go through a similar situation like a stroke, they can also learn from people who have cerebral palsy, which is basically the same thing as having a stroke, similar symptoms and similar issues. Again, same with autism

@MissKaylaSue wanted to add another point.

I also wanted to add just another point in regards to both autism as well as cerebral palsy in that, you know, I think over the years it has been looked at that both autism and cerebral palsy were both looked at as more both a boy and or male related, you know, condition

It's. Wow. It's really interesting because from the educational and medical perspective, I have a lot of information about autism, which I am going to do a part two of this and definitely go into more detail in terms of what I've learned. But I really appreciate what you had to say because I'd never thought of it from this perspective. So I'm really glad you caught this as well and that we were able to make your day and engage in conversation with you. Thanks again

Each and every single one of us is a little bit differently. Again, same diagnosis in order to get help and medical and educational benefit, but if you meet one person with autism, you meet one person with autism

And it can be very refreshing sometimes, I think, to hear, yeah, you know what, I've dealt with that too, or yeah, I've done that, it didn't work as well for me, but it's awesome that it's worked for you in that perspective. I think that's the biggest thing that we need to get back to is just talking about some of this, especially from the autism perspective. Leanne, definitely agree that you meet one person with autism

@TheMs.Leanne You are most certainly welcome Leanne. Has been wonderful to share in these conversations.

Hey, Leanne, just wanted to say that you are most certainly very welcome for joining in on these discussions, which I have to say have been very enlightening and I've really enjoyed sharing my opinions and thoughts, even if my situation might be a little differently. There are some similarities. I have really appreciated you doing this series as a whole because these types of conditions really do need more exposure and more awareness and just people to have more empathy and understanding

Hi Kayla. I just wanted to say that you are so very welcome for all the replies and it has truly been a great thing to be able to participate in this topic with you and to share personal experiences and what has worked and what hasn't worked. Even if our situation is maybe a little different in regards to cerebral palsy and autism. But I will say that I do agree with you on a few things

@TheMs.Leanne Thanks Leanne, yes I know how hectic this time near the end of school can be. We all need more positivity and light in t&e world.

Positivity can overcome so many things, can overcome so much darkness and so much hate and bring so much good to this world, can bring us all together again. We need more of that in this world. And yes, I'm sure this will grow over time as it has continued to. And I'm certainly very happy to have been a part of it and to have been able to help you as well as, yes, you have helped me, most certainly
