Is it really "just an animal? " /Lack of Empathy
Now, this person's reaction was, quote, it's just a cat. Get over it. I'm going to say that again. It's just a cat. Get over it. Okay. I was shocked. I literally started shaking. I couldn't believe it. I'm thinking to myself, how in the world can anyone say that to another human being? Number one, whether you like animals or not

And I have to say, at times I feel that animals I enjoy and appreciate more than people, because people can be very cruel at times, whereas animals just seem to give you love no matter what. So I hope that this has helped you and helped you understand a little bit more, and it's encouraged you even in the anniversary of the loss of your cat, which, again, I am truly sorry for. And I understand that greatly
She was just, like the coolest part of my family. God, I missed that little girl. Yeah. It's hard to see anyone or anything you love go through that kind of pain. And anyone who thinks that animals don't have souls man, I invite them to watch my little Fred in her last couple of days because, boy, oh, boy, let me tell you. You see anything or anyone scream in excruciating pain. Yeah. They have feelings

But just know that your cat is going is at the Rainbow Bridge with my dogs, Olive and Ruby and they are having a good old time. And that just makes me feel a lot better, knowing that they're having a good time together

Sometimes you have to leave the house. But I've never had a pet be this close to me that they didn't want me to leave. As far as teaching empathy, I posted a link to a video. I may have to go over the five minutes that they allow, because that empathy video is so important, and it's such a good teaching tool. It's a Sesame Street video, so it should be easy to teach your kids how to be empathetic

I don't understand how that person said that to you. It breaks my heart that they have no empathy whatsoever. There's no such thing as that's. Just a cat that grates on my nerves. So if you hear a lot of noise in the background, that's why I really appreciate your life stories, your tell me about your cats and yeah, it's so amazing how any pet dog, cat, pet rock even, frankly, for some people, just improve our quality of life. It's definitely a really great thing. And I really love hearing about your cats, and the pictures are absolutely beautiful. Definitely looking forward to checking out that empathy video

I'm sure it got tossed somewhere during my multiple moves from New England, all over New England and down to Texas. But you really made me laugh again. I'm so happy that you're having a great day. Is there something that kind of made you develop a negative experience to those interactions or is it really that you just don't care either way? Each way is definitely going to have its own needs. In regards to the development of empathy, I think a lot of it also, if they have that much lack for animals, to be honest with you, I'm kind of scared as to their lack of empathy with their fellow human beings. But I don't know
