Cerebral Palsy, a personal experience, part 2

For instance, let's say somebody's right arm doesn't function properly and it curls up a bit, all right? And so your class is playing softball at PE. Okay? Well, that doesn't mean that the child with CP can't play. Now, they might have to play differently and gosh, I don't know, maybe use a different style bat. Maybe have I know, for T ball, right?

This was a great part 2 Leanne. Loved the example you gave and really connected to what you said in this. As my right arm is affected.

Had to, as far as I can remember, did have to use some of those modifications, as you described, for certain sports that we were playing in PE. But not always. I found that this made things easier and also made the class enjoyable for me. Swimming was actually another modification that I had, at least when I was in high school where I would actually instead of actually running your swimming laps, I would practice my walking in the shallow end of the pool, going back and forth

You are most certainly welcome Leanne. This as I have said has been very enlightening

I have found that we all share commonalities that we can all learn from and we can all help each other and I'm glad to have been able to have now made some more friends that's also appreciated it, yourself included. I just wanted to say thank you for also being inspiring as well has really meant a lot

And it's definitely gotten a lot better knowing people such as yourself that inspire me. Because, again, per your swell, no matter how bad things get, things will always get better. There's going to be a light at the end of the tunnel. And just knowing people such as yourself and doing what I do just makes the world a better place. And that's what I was put on this earth for. So thank you. Appreciate it

So any adult who is having a significant impact on a child sets the tone for how they view the world, the experiences that they have, and of course, how they treat others. And so I think it's a really good reminder, just real world example, to be mindful of how you treat others in front of kids, even as they grow up in their young adolescent years and they're early adult years

For example, I'm an Itinerant teacher, so I walk into different classrooms and different schools and my goodness, you can so feel the atmosphere in different rooms of really positive, happy teachers that set a positive tone versus ones that don't. So you are correct, and I'm definitely looking forward to some of your swells as well. I get a lot out of them. So thank you and have a lovely day. Bye
