And at one point she turned to my father, screamed at the top of her lungs, I am on the freeway. What are you talking about? And I tapped my mom on the shoulder, I said, no, mom, you're not. You need to move the car over to the right hand side into the lane. I also said to her under my breath, I mean, not too loud. I said, Mom, I can drive

And your mom and dad are still together, which is wonderful. And even if your dad doesn't have long left, I think that your mom focusing on him. Maybe if she can still cook, cooking him small meals, making sure he has lunch, maybe taking them to the park or to a movie, allowing your mother to have those last moments with him before he's not here

You have a good relationship and you talk honestly and freely. Questions like, dad, can you see those people on the side of the road? Did you notice that person up there changing lanes more as a conversation than just one day saying, hey, you are no longer capable of driving and we want your keys and give us your truck. That's the end of it for right or wrong. In America, an automobile is very closely aligned with freedom

If someone was really confrontational with me, I would be like, right. So I definitely agree with you on that. You need to say things, but in a respectful manner where the message is received. And that is what happened with my mom. But it's never easy. So I thank you for it, and I thank you for listening and your very thoughtful replies. Hope all is well. Bye

I really like your perspective and definitely going to take that to heart. Apologies for not getting back to you right away. It's been a very interesting week or so, but I thank you so much and I hope all is well. Bye
