The importance of Self Care, Respite, and Mental Health Services

This respite or short period of rest relief is vital to each and every primary caretaker of the populations that I just mentioned. This is the primary caretaker's personal time to do whatever they want, no matter what it might be. Heck, sitting in the bathtub, going to a movie, taking a walk, whatever is their personal time for them. They get a break. And again, it is so vital. Sorry, I have to take a breath

Hi Leanne. Thank you so much for making this post and dropping the resources. I've used some of those in my past. The question that you were asked, I was asked that question for the first time in 2017 when I was leaving California to go become a caregiver for my mom and my colleagues asked me, but who takes care of you? And we're still trying to answer that question all seven years later

Welcome. Thank you for your reply. I'm really glad it helped you. Yeah. You know, it's just so many of us are so nurturing, kind, and caring, and we go out of our way, and I know you do as well to take care of others, and it's like, oh, yeah, I need to take care of me
