They are alive, but they are just not in our lives anymore. When that void is created, for a moment, we realize that nothing is permanent. But the emotions that we feel, the learnings that we get, are worth it. I don't know if I make any sense or not, but over the time, seeing my mother aging and realizing there could be a day when she'll no longer be with us is scary. So this is for those who still have their parents with them
