article image placeholderUploaded by @TheADHDFiles
Lead researcher Dr. Sandy Scatterbrain explained, as the planet heats up, so do our brains, quite literally. This heightened neural activity leads to an inability to focus and a propensity for spontaneous actions, classic symptoms of ADHD. But how exactly does climate change cause ADHD? The researchers proposed a complex mechanism involving increased stress levels due to the extreme weather events, disrupted sleep patterns from hotter nights, and reduced cognitive function from exposure to air pollution. In other words, Mother Nature is giving us one big distraction

A new study reveals that ADHD could be caused by global warming. Apparently mother nature is just one big distraction! #adhd #adhdlife

That is so crazy. I never knew that it's so wild how climate change is at the root of so many things. And, yeah, I guess I never really considered that it could affect our mental health that much. To that, to that extent, it's really, really crazy. And, and that it could do so in, not in a way where you're reading the news and you feel affected, but in a very kind of insidious, invisible way. Really interesting
