There was no, the movie will be in the movie theater for two weeks and then it'll go to streaming or it'll go to DVD or VHS, whatever the format was in the 1970s, that movie played for a very long time because there was only two choices. It was movie or TV for visual media, and then there was radio

Netflix Brick and mortar, Best Buy and Target chopping away at physical film inventory. What’s going on with home media?

And I feel like that's maybe because there is a bit of exhaustion that people are feeling from the streaming universe that we are currently situated in. People want alternatives. And I know from renting films on YouTube, sometimes you're paying four, five, $6 if they're newer films, $8910 just to rent them. And at that point, at least with some of my favorite films, I know that I can find them used for anywhere from five to $10

So there's a lot to be said about what we are losing and what we are gaining in a culture that isn't buying its movies like it used to, because the convenience is always going to be what people sell you about. Like people sell you on. Like, oh, you don't have to have all these movies in your home. It's going to be streaming
