Have we lost the novelty of Home?
Sports is a little bit different because we now have broadcast sports, but you also have the television that is capable of being paused and turned on to whenever we want to. And all it takes is for someone to tune out of spoilers and stuff online and you can return to it whenever you want and come home and watch a game that aired at 07:00. At 09:00. Have we lost a lot of the novelty that makes a place special?
But we've now hidden behind these cultures of my neighborhood has this and your neighborhood has that. But a lot of the commonality is being lost and I think a lot of the things that connect us has now become missing. In a world where everyone has the Internet and everyone has the use of the Internet in their own way, it's kind of telling that we all experience different things at our own different times. And we're no longer in this communal sense that we used to
I just spent some time there. But it wasn't like people would buy all of their groceries for the entire week at one time. This sort of like bulk buying list, but not really bulk buying. Bulk buying from the perspective of a New Yorker maybe, but not bulk buying from living anywhere else. Right. And how that seems to have been maintained. Again, I haven't been there in a while, so I don't know if that's actually the case

And I thought it was fascinating to walk in there because it reminded me of those stores that were so common. It had to have been common in the 1940s and the 1950s and the 30s. But for me, it was common to see it in the 90s because it was such a little small place that tend to electronics that it tend to appliances and goods
And I know there's a growing number of people who are making different decisions because they are concerned about the planet and about the direction that things are going. And there's this really excellent book. I don't know if it'd be up your alley or not, but it sort of reminds me of some of these things
