The Obsessive culture of the Modern Fanbase
Even though it is predetermined, it is a sport because there's a considerable amount of athleticism and requirement that it comes to be a professional wrestler. But the fan base has always been weird to me just because of how people react, what it means to be a wrestler. It's very fascinating, too, because as someone who grew up watching this sport, I remember growing it up, being introduced to it by my mom, of all people
But professional wrestling sees itself with numerous wrestling news sites, numerous message boards, numerous forums to type on, and comment sections, and notifications and new Twitch streams that I think WWE just announced. And I'm thinking to myself, at what point when do we begin to separate ourselves from this stuff and just gravitate towards reality? It's very strange
Whether you support football, basketball, basketball has wavered in many ways. It's no longer the physical sport that it used to be. It's changed, and it's been sanitized in so many different ways. We can see how these obsessive fandoms have become really just synonymous with life. In many ways. You can see how easy it is for people to lose themselves in a politician and a leader, where a great deal of understanding what a person stands for is completely lost

Is only unhealthy when there's no boundaries. When there's a point where the individual feels uncomfortable, then I feel as though when yeah, that's not healthy
