And what it made me think about is the existentialism that we continue to deal with, particularly as males in the United States, black men specifically, because I feel as if you've lived in this country long enough. I'm only 37. I'm sure there are people that could tell me much worse stories. So what I'm about to discuss, as bad as it is, is the end of the world

Especially when the streets are killing them, the policies aren't protecting him, and the institutions are doing everything they can to keep him at that level. I usually point in the direction of cinema and the arts a lot, and a lot of people kind of look at me crazy when I do it, but there was something about the ability to tell a story, to really speak to a demographic, and it could save a life. It could change a life
