It. They have turned my spirit into a template. A cardboard cut out drug pass opportunity sprawled out across the concrete. Dirty self righteous acclamations of true religion and balance, holding on to dicks while hands dragged the asphalt and discarded self respect and decorum are cut off and cut out at the knees. Lying there, outlined for all to see, the life sucked out of brains through nostrils. You can't win. Chance to straw man. You can't win

I thank you for being here and being able to stand up proud and being able to say, I'm going to speak even when nobody else wants to. I applaud you for that. I appreciate you so much for that. And I'm just glad that you here on Swell. I'm glad to have you as a part of our community because the poetry community here is growing. It's becoming a beautiful family and it needs every addition it can get

But at the same time, it becomes disheartening because it's like, d***, is this all that we have left? We're going to glorify this, but this is America and everybody has the right to pursue happiness how they see fit. But then it's like sometimes I begin to question, are we really happy here? But long story short, with all that being said, thank you for your poetry, because when you write, you inspire me

I know that people hearing something like this, reflections of things that they may not normally come across, it's just so necessary. I am a lover of poetry and words, and it was beautiful. It was an experience. It was like I got so many mental pictures that happened as you spoke, and I listened to it more than once to really digest it and take it in. I appreciate you. I am going to follow. I am going to listen and pay attention

It's. Wow. Top of the morning to you. Good morning to you. That just filled me with such a smile from the inside out. Like my spirit just smile. I'm just grinning on my way to work. It feels really good to know that you appreciated the poem and it's really encouraging me to do more and put more up here. Knowing that someone is listening and paying attention
