When I opened my eyes, there were cities of violence. My mother and my home was all in pieces, and so were the people. In a dull fashion, I realized there were costs to our silence. The endless paranoia, the romanticized anxiety. It bleeds to the bodies on the road. The politicians that said they would fight with us on the streets are safe in their towers and telling the news they never wish for this war. I can feel the soul of the city erode
