There is a difference between pride and arrogance

article image placeholderUploaded by @takeitfromtim
And because I did the job and showed the workers that I can do the job just as them, and I wasn't above them in doing the job, I rarely ever had pullback when I asked someone to do anything, even if I asked them to come in on their day off or squish their schedule around in order to accommodate, they were always willing to work with me because I was willing to work with them

#pride, #arrogance, conceit, #value, #worthiness, #bold, #daring, #incharge, #conference, #measured, #assured, #vision, #talent, #quality, #assured

I don't like an arrogant leader, right? Very much. Like you said, I also don't like a leader that lacks confidence. That's something I don't like for me, I think that's part of the reason. And it's going to sound sexist, but it is what it is. I like working under a man because most men are going to walk with a certain amount of confidence. Even if you all are shaking your boots, you're not going to let it show

Unfortunately, though, speaking of arrogance, and I'm sure you've seen this, I've seen too many people who are arrogant who just don't fall off that horse for some reason. You want to see it come, you want to see it happen, but doesn't happen. But anyway, that's life. But anyway, all good points that you make. Well articulated and definitely a lesson for leaders to be right. Thanks again, Tim

So I think over the years of me being able to voice a concern has been threatening to people, especially males. And I always have this kind of combative relationship with male managers because I don't know why, but I feel that they feel like I'm overthrowing their authority and because I'm strong and I stand up for principles and things I believe in. They have a problem with me and I'm thorough too

Next thing I look, I heard that he was terminated because he was unable to fight his, and he didn't have witnesses as I had in mind. So sometimes karma really does come back to these people. So leadership is about setting an example. And if you set an example and create a foundation for people to follow, and you have a sense of pride and confidence follow you

So that's kind of the way my career has been going and it's still on that path, but actually don't have a management position. I purposely did not want to supervise people. I don't want to have responsibilities for stuff. And that's what I have. And it's actually a promotion. So look at God, right? Because I don't want to do all that. I'm not chasing the bag as they say anymore. I am not chasing the bag

You're going to fire me, I'm going to quit or I'm going to retire from the company. I have gotten to a point where I no longer desire to grow on the corporate ladder with the organization. And like you said, I don't want to be responsible for supervising anyone in anyone else's company
