How to choose the right therapist?

article image placeholderUploaded by @taha_oracle
That's why I went by Teresa, and I hope she accepts this invitation and enlightens us with her wisdom. That what makes someone the right therapist. And how can people find mental health professionals who are not there to mint money, but actually there to help? Is there a possibility that people can get real help? Thank you

All right, putting qualifications aside, so it's a very individual choice as to the kind of therapist that you might resonate with, because every therapist has their own style of practicing. So even if they are qualified, some of them might not suit your needs the best, whereas some of them might. So it's definitely something you're going to have to try and pick the best fit. But that being said, I think you can make that process easier if you look at their certifications

This sounds very bad, but it basically means that we want to equip you with the tools in such a way that you're able to tackle those situations in a healthy way on your own and don't need to come back to therapy. So while having you with us for more sessions might help us make more money, ethically, that's not what we want. We want to make you capable enough to be able to handle whatever comes your way and live a happy, healthy life

When they are performing in front of an audience on the stage, they forget everything, yet they are releasing all their pain in the form of a character. So expression in any form that helps one heal is very important, which will, in coming months or years, will reduce the chances of harming yourself or others, like you mentioned. And it's the best way to move towards a healthy society

Yes, Taha, you're absolutely right. It's the need of the art, I believe, because it's already been so chaotic in this world, and especially after the pandemic, the one thing I believe came out of it in a positive way was the importance of mental health. Everybody realized how difficult it can be to live in in that way. So I'm glad something came out of it, and people are giving it more importance, and I just hope this keeps increasing

Thank you so much, Esha, for your response and taking out time to share such significant information. And one keeps learning every day. And it's really important to discuss because that's something that is getting rare nowadays. We are seeing more of cancel culture and criticism without any base. It's just fight of flight. And people from all backgrounds, no matter what their issue is, we must learn to empathize and come up with a solution rather than reaching conclusions
