He will actually make you do things that your ego hates, but it is actually going to purify you and help you become a person of substance, strengthen your character so that you can be of service to others in this life, as well as devote yourself to God. It's totally in sync with each other that the best way to devote yourself to God is through service. Of course, it has its own joy. When one prays to God, when one connects, you will feel that joy
