How do you deal with balancing Mental Health and Creative output
I was able to express all of my thoughts and put them down on paper, and when I saw them, I was able to seek out the lies that my fears or my worries tell me versus the truth. I feel like this balance of trying to make sure that your mental health is healthy enough so that you can create is a very tricky thing

And so one very logistical and obvious thing that I do that I've been reflecting on is like, well, I still have to do these things whether I want to do them or not. And if I don't do them, I'm just going to have to do them in a space where on the day that I'm working or there's more things going on. So these days that I don't have much on, releasing the expectation to get everything done

I did just want to add a press star post before adding this. I can certainly relate in terms of the immigration. That's something that I've been going through the last, like, really like, five years, but more pressingly last two to three years. And I'm in a secured, safe space now. But I just appreciate the fact that it's not just you moving through this life, it's your partner, too, and the two of you wanting to do it together

I treat my mental health like I treat my oral hygiene and it's very important to me. So I'm able to now identify when I'm about to have a moment or when I'm in a moment, which is something I've never been able to do before. So the good part about it is that even in those moments, I can still kind of decompress and kind of control where my mental goes and how I feel, because I've been working so hard to get to that point

Sometimes we as human beings, we put so much pressure on ourselves that we don't recognize these things. We say them, but it takes a minute for us to recognize that, you know what? No. We're doing the best that we can, given the situation that we're in. We always put so much pressure, and it makes it feel like nothing that we do is ever enough

I'm not going to take too much time here, but I did want to come on and say thank you, because I did really like and resonate with that metaphor. So thanks

I need to establish better, more planned meditation times, planned activity, exercise, nothing outrageous, but an intentional time to walk, an intentional time to stretch would certainly be better. And some of the comments here about thinking of your mental wellness as your hygiene, it's like that light bulb went off and it really is something that you can stack with other habits and get better at. And I thank you so much for this conversation and I look forward to more
