1. What inspired you to write about strong, empowered women characters?

Kamini, I think I'll start off with a question which I'm sure you would have been asked several times before. What inspired you to write about tough and empowered women who take charge in their personal and professional lives? Because I found this to be somewhat of a recurrent theme across your books, and I was really curious to know if there's any particular reason you tend to come out with strong women protagonists who deal with unusual situations that life throws at them in their own unique ways

Thank you so much, Ramya, for inviting me to this author interview session. Coming to this question, I have been a voracious reader right from my childhood and mostly I have read romantic fiction with strong female leads. I have read Danielle Steele a lot who has created amazing female characters since I had started reading during my teenage days, strong female characters left an indelible mark on my mind

Q2. Portrayal of your protagonists

My next question is about the portrayal of your protagonist. How do you navigate the balance between portraying the women in your stories as strong and independent while also exploring the risks and potential consequences they face on account of the choices they make and the unique, unusual situations that they find themselves in?

@Ramya

Hello. My female leads are bindas, badass and willing to go to any extent to get something they really desire in their lives. When in love, they would do anything to conquer their love, no matter what. After all, risk hai to ishk hai! But yes, they aren't dumb to not understand the consequences. And they know how to handle the situations if they go risky. Usually mixing business and pleasure is risky. But my females do mix them when they have an agenda on their mind

Q3. Do you draw inspiration from real life experiences or people?

Hello. Okay, I think this one is going to be my favorite question of the lot. Do you draw inspiration from real life experiences or people when creating these intense love stories? Also, how do you do your research and what is your strategy to bring authenticity to these characters and their journeys?

Apart from this, I would say I am a keen observer and equally good in creating my own imaginations that are romantic, intense and even kinky with all the thrill factor embedded in it. So all these imaginations I would say actually are very close to reality. Moreover, I have an inclination to explore the grey areas or grey side of people. I feel a writer need not experience everything. It's not required. But yes, certain things can be developed from just a hint or an imagination

Q4. Why is important to have strong female characters literature?

So, here comes my last question for you. In your opinion, why is it important to portray strong female characters in literature? Are there any real life women or fictional characters who have have influenced or inspired you as a writer?

@Ramya

Even if the books are romance or thriller. In fact, these fiction books leave better impact on the younger readers. Literature actually leaves a deep impact on the mind of readers. If my readers love me, they would be impacted by my writings too. Yes, there are many real life women whom I have met or known or heard of, have been the source of inspiration in my fiction work and yes, sometimes it's little bit of me as well in my female leads and
