Fear of Starting Something New

article image placeholderUploaded by @sridhanya
That takes a lot of time. And that comes from my experience. So recently, I tried making some changes to this Master plan process. I've tried convincing myself that it takes less time to actually do it, then come up with a whole program with 500 contingency plans and timelines attached to it. Yes, I do have timelines. So I've tried implementing this in smaller tasks, like writing a small blog piece on a niche that I've not tried in some months now

I also have this severe apprehension whenever I plan on starting something new. And even I have maybe not as elaborate a master plan as you are talking about, but probably something similar to it. I chalk out my path ahead. I try at least to chalk out my path ahead. And even though I love spontaneity and I love people who can be spontaneous, for me, spontaneity does not always come very naturally

Ask why?

Hi Sridhanya. Thanks for sharing your story with me. I have experienced what you are experiencing now. I think we all experience it sometime or the other. And I once read somewhere that if something doesn't really make you afraid of the results, if something doesn't set butterflies loose in your stomach, then it is not really worth doing. So anything that is worth doing swell instill, a fear of failure in you and you'll be afraid to start it or try it out
