What does happiness feel like?

article image placeholderUploaded by @soljourney
You. Hey, good people. Janice here. I did a meditation recently, and I believe the topic was happiness. Right. I'm part of a meditation community, and we pretty much have pillars each day that we center around as part of our meditation practice practice. And one of the questions that came up was, what does it wasn't a question, but it came through in the meditation surrounding happiness, of what does happiness feel like?

I feel like it depends, but happiness sometimes feels like a warmth across my chest. It feels like, I think, like, the release, like, in the throat and, like, in the mouth from, like, laughing, like, just feeling that that that bubbling, like, out of your body, just completely relaxed, but in, like, a nice motion. Um, it sometimes also feels like pure peace, like heavy eyelids, like feeling happy and safe enough to rest

Um hi. Thanks for asking this question, like, what does happiness feel like? I guess it all really depends on the situation or depends on what's happening at the time, because we can feel happiness at at different times and feel joy at different times. And what I do notice is that we are sometimes looking for that happiness

I love that. Oh, my gosh. When you mentioned laughter, like, it just made me smile, and I felt happy even in that moment. Yeah, it's interesting. Like, the warmth from the sun on your cheeks. I mean, I just loved your response so much. Thank you. I appreciate it

And I've realized that that's not how it is. I've learned so much over the course of the last year through meditation in my community and yeah, it's an inside job so I'm working on it every day to be honest. Definitely working on it every day but yeah, ultimately I realized that it starts with me, it's not going to come from anywhere else, it starts solely with me
