Many of us in adulthood are not living our life to the best and genuine sort of ways. Instead, we battle ourselves to meet others'expectations in the hope of receiving love and approval and written our parents. Expectations are felt in a variety of ways, including the type of work we do, who we befriend, how we speak, what we dress, who we love, who we marry, everything

It might not be the same for everyone, but some can relate. #family #parents #expectations #relatable #struggle #confessions #personalstories #advice

And yes, I completely agree with you that if you want to live a happy life, lived by your standards, that is 100% true and everyone needs to hear that and do start doing things for yourself because yes, society is going to have an opinion no matter what you do in life, it doesn't matter like no matter what you do, someone or the other is going to be unhappy about it

Hi. Thank you so much for replying. This means a lot to me. And yes, you're absolutely correct. There are still some parents who are very open minded who are like, very free to their child, and they're, like, very connected to them. That doesn't mean that the parents who control their children's life is not connected with them. It doesn't mean like that, but they have certain expectations and they want to act according to the acceptance of the society

Yes. What you said is absolutely correct. Number one key, like factor is communication. I mean, no one can read your mind. No one knows how you feel unless you speak up about it. And the best way is always communication in if you communicate like, even if it doesn't turn out right, at least you'd have that peace of mind knowing that you did try. And also, yes, you cannot blame them
