True self love versus superficial self love

article image placeholderUploaded by @shimmythatsoul
So let's not get into the superficial self love that we are seeing all around us. True self love is when you are really wanting to feel what your body wants to feel when you are not abandoning any part of yourself, when you really want to sit with yourself, process the feelings, process the sad feelings for as long as you want. That is self love where instead of criticizing yourself for who you are, you accept yourself for who you are and who you want to be

Distracting ourselves to not feel what we want to feel is not self love its self sabotage! Lets truly understand what self love is and practise it

It. Self love can be very positive. It's not always negative, like being selfish. Sometimes we must spend some time with ourselves. We should talk to ourselves. Being in your own company gives you a kind of relief. And many people, they keep giving time to everyone, but they never give time to themselves. So it is necessary to talk to yourself, to spend some time with yourself

Thank you so much for your reply. And yes, I totally agree. We should definitely sit with ourselves and talk to ourselves and know what we truly feel. So abandoning what we truly feel is something that later on bottles up into a lot of diseases that manifests in our body. So yes, you're absolutely right and thank you so much for your reply
