Artshows and Artists

article image placeholderUploaded by @shafali
But then art is patience. If you are an artist, then you know the value of patience. You got to be very patient. You've got to wait. But if your work is good, then you'll definitely get an opportunity to accept submitted. So, as I said before, my work is currently on display in Galilee. Number five lalit Kala Academy here in Delhi. If you can visit, do visit. I'd love to meet you. Bye

Swellcasting from my artshow Revelations at Lalit Kala Akademi (Nov 22-28) #artexhibitions #delhi #oilpainting

Congratulations and good luck

So it itself is a compliment. That itself is threshold of the quality of the art that is on display. So much. Congratulations to you to that effect. Anand absolutely. If there are more people who get to see it, and it will be like an inspiration to many upcoming artists who probably have this misconception that it is so difficult to land on an exhibition if their quality of work is good and the standards are high. It is a tricky field because art appeals differently to different people

Something which is original, expression. Right? Whether it is using paints or words or shapes or textures, if it is something good or rather, if it is something original, if it is something that is showing what you are saying or showcasing your message to the world, people will be interested in it. If they only make money or they only get fame. When we, the artists they represent, get money and get fame. Right? So the art industry has nothing to gain from being gatekeeping

At some point, as binathi said, if there is a virtual tour would love to be part of it. So do let us know and congratulations. If I was somewhere close also to Delhi I would have walked in but I'm far far down south. So it's only my best wishes that can travel to you at this moment in time. But really great post there. Thank you and wishing you good luck for many many more such exhibitions to come in the future

I try to continue, but then something happens which actually changes the direction of my motivation. I get inspired. I get motivated to do something else. And that something else begins to appear very important. And so I start putting my energy in that new thing and I forget about the rest. Thankfully, there are two things which I have never stopped doing. One is writing and the other is painting. And I hope I'll continue to do this all my life. Let's see how it goes

And that is a very important thing, because to be able to show your work in a place which is centrally located in a city, I think that itself is a big thing for an artist. So it sort of gives you an opening into the should I say, well, it gives you an opportunity to enter through a side gate and just go around and have a look at the world of art and present your work to a few people at least

So it was really nice to be displaying there, especially because there were a lot of other artists who were displaying as well. Lalithala Academy has eight galleries and I was in gallery number five. Mine was a solo show and there were other solo shows as well as there were a couple of group shows. So it was also an opportunity to meet a lot of other artists and talk with them and share thoughts and ideas and techniques
