What does "being a man" look like to you?

article image placeholderUploaded by @sengri_la
And this in turn is causing us to suppress our manliness, which is causing depression to this. I had various arguments, but I'm not going to bring that up here. I'm going to focus on the question, what does being a man look like to me? Honestly, I don't describe myself as a man. I don't think of myself that I am a man. But when I go about my day, I don't attempt to do manly things

In your own unfiltered opinion, what does it mean to you to "be a man "? #AskSwell #ask #questionoftheday #question

It was called some kind of type of power struggle or power move where you're supposed to be a tough guy and only people that you can really deal with and terrorizes your own family. That's not masculinity, that's toxic masculinity. So what a man looks like to me is loving and caring. Basically my father and the men that I grew up around that I was able to see do the next right thing for the next right reason, stand for something, provide, protect

Deliver you. So I guess my definition of a man is someone that holds his own counsel. There was a big you know, there's been a big debate on about men crying and, you know, like we should be able to cry and all this kind of stuff. It's not that I never have and it's not that I never will again, but that's something that me and my wife will work it out, you know what I mean?

But again, that's not like I'm sure some men out there find just as much pleasure and comfort in sharing their situations and experiences and challenges with women too. I'm just speaking from my current position and I find that the closest women in my life who I love dearly see things very, very differently from the way I see things and some of the other masculine men friends of mine

You? Well, my perspective, and I am a female, natural born female, I will contribute in response to your question, that for me, a man is someone who moves with purpose. He knows who he is and what his skills and value is. And because he knows that he moves with purpose, he is just by spirituality and divine order, being the leader of society and therefore the leader of his family. Yes, he is going to be the one to step forward in challenging situations

You. Thank you for asking this question. It's a really fascinating question and one that seems to be being asked more and more frequently. And I think that's because roles are changing and gender roles are changing, and people are trying to come to grips with what what is the concept of man and what is the concept of woman. Now, I was born in the 70s, raised in the man was very much the provider, and he was that strong fight
