The english language baffles me, and it is such a wonder to me that we can communicate and even get close to understanding one another and all of the different points of where language can break down, you know, from the different ways that we are neurologically wired to the different ways that we were raised and conditioned to, the different communities that we're a part of or interact with the lingo, you know, and how words can take on a slightly different meaning depending on all of these contexts

With fetching, you can't go into the capitalism angle. Like, that's an odd choice of words for an item that you would obtain, because in capitalism, it's an ever churning machine. Ever buying, ever consuming, ever getting these items. I don't know. I'm. I'm going to be thinking too far into these things for a while now. And thank you for the new word

And so then, you know, when she would get called a bitch, then it didn't matter as much because she had reinterpreted it this way. And I am the same way. Language is funny of, like, how it changes sometimes, how quickly it changes, how slow it changes. Like, I watched, there was this documentary series on Netflix about swear words and, like, the origins of them and how they didn't necessarily start out as cuss words

So how are you going to use this tool? Is it to connect us or not? And then love these words. Speaking of words, we love one of them that I have loved since I was a child. Vicissitudes. The kind of ups and downs of things. Vicissitudes. One of my favorite words. All right, have a great evening, everybody. Bye

That's a wonderful word. I love that word, too, although I think my mouth would have problems saying it. There's some words, particularly with a lot of s's, that for whatever reason, my mouth just doesn't want to get out properly. But it is a really good word

I completely agree. Language can be used as a tool. It can be weaponized, it can be humorous, it can be nonsensical, and, you know, everything in between all of those things. I've definitely seen the types of people you're describing in your text circles that use language to not really communicate, but instead to affect perceptions and how they're seen. And that just drives me nuts

Actually, that documentary series I mentioned on Netflix actually showed some of the comedians and individuals doing this sort of experiment where they had these bowls of ice and water and you had to stick your hand in it, and one group was allowed to cuss and the other hand wasn't. And they timed how long people could keep their hands in the containers and those who cussed could stay in it longer. Right?

Using new words is fun! - Thank you for relaying these words and their definitions!...

But if you transform the verb, the verb to believe in a belief, so in a noun, you can create or use an adjective rather alongside it. I would think so. Christian is related to Christ, so a christian belief is to believe in Christ. So perhaps you were troubled, but it's not that complicated. But yes. Yes, you're right. Thinking about using words is fun. Is it possible to use them, or how? So?

@dzakyem

Yes. Zetetic myself. As with zetetic exploration, maybe. Yeah. And maybe not too complicated for you, but obviously a different story for myself

Yes. In today's world, where you can't say a woman is hysteric, otherwise you're a sexist. You may say you're a Zanthepi or Zantipi. Yes, that's given me a new outlet. New possible outlet. Of course, it's quite derogatory, and I'm glad you're taking it as a positive meaning sense

Hello, seeking plum. Sorry if I came through as slighting you. It wasn't the case. I just wanted to explain it in a simple way and I thought we were perhaps a bit confused. Just when you spoke. Yes. Anyway, yes. For me, since I have to teach languages sometimes, it's indeed perhaps a bit more simple. There you are

Oh, this is interesting, talking about cussing, because I had read an article years and years ago, maybe written by a psychologist or psychiatrist, about the healthy way of cussing versus an unhealthy way of cussing. And the difference is, if you're saying it sort of into the air and not directed at somebody, it's healthy
