Musings of an insomniac: chicken wing edition.

It's more like you're eating them in a social situation that's not always true, but like, there's something else going on. Maybe you're watching the game or you're at a pub or do you what know? I mean, maybe those are just stereotypical ideas. I don't know how many people buy chicken wings just to have them on an average night. It's not that these chicken wings were bad necessarily. They were okay. They were maybe even tasty

I do have a pan that I can put some oil in, that's kind of a deep modified wok, a stainless steel pan with a flat bottom that's probably eight inches deep, sloped walls, and so I can fry in that. That's what I use for frying chicken or anything like that. And then you've got to sauce them, and then you've got to put them in the oven and to get that total chicken wing experience

So that way, if I need to grab something, I'm not grabbing it with hands that have any type of grease or sauce or seasoning on it. So I was listening to this like, yes, this is me. And even if I do have wings, rarely will I order them out. The only way for the most part, that I'm ordering wings out is because there is absolutely nothing else on the menu and I'm with a group of people that I would want to eat

I would like to kind of figure out how to do that, but it's messy, gets stuck in your teeth and I don't ever feel fulfilled eating them. So I don't even know why. I guess as a true appetizer, we would order them, but it's not very often that we do

When you were describing the feeling of the sauces ear to ear up your hands and having to go wash up and oh, my goodness. Yes. And then you mentioned how the boneless ones are not nearly as satisfying. You're right

I mean, like you mentioned, there were the two different kinds that you liked, and I'm sure there are plenty of others out there that may not be liked or are liked or whatever. Maybe I'm just not a wing connoisseur. I think also, I don't know if it was you or Jeremiah mentioned it, that the sauces. It definitely seems like chicken wings are a vehicle for sue. You know what, though?

Oh, my goodness. You got me. When you said when there's, like pieces snapping back exactly, I have to stop and sort of distract myself or I start to wonder, what is this texture? What is that? Do I really want to know what this is? A part also, I don't know what's up with the flat part, either of the wing. Is it just there for aesthetic purposes and is it really that aesthetically pleasing? I don't know
