"Conversational narcissist" or neurodivergent, that is the question.

Things like condescension, tone of voice, word choices, there may indeed be condescension there coming from the other person. However, there's also sometimes neurodivergent people can be interpreted as condescending because our tone or our word choices do not match up with what you would prefer, what is quote unquote appropriate or quote unquote correct. A lot of neurodivergent people are communicating with words not meaning and some sort of tone of voice to convey other intentions, but just the words themselves

I'll give another example because I know I've talked about this, about me being in an open relationship. And so because of that, I'm still on dating apps, and this guy asked me today, and the dating app I'm on is called Facebook Dating Pause. Facebook Dating. Let that sink in. And his question to me, once we matched was, what brings you to the app? And I literally had to pause because I was like, is this a trick question

You know, regardless of the flavors of neurodivergence or labels or how those things present in a person, like their lived experience of those flavors. I think of you as neurodivergent, for one. I remember you mentioning that your son has ADHD and that you thought you might, too. I don't remember if you got an official diagnosis this or not, but that alone puts you under the umbrella of neurodivergence
