Foolish or wise, it all depends.
But again, I suppose it's a shortcut of some sort. At the very least, I wish we could make it about the topics instead of the people. We can elevate and demote ideas, but I wish we'd stopped doing it with people and ourselves. But I guess maybe that's asking too much. There's probably other reasons for why we do it

I literally just categorized this guy based on a conversation and his perspective of real estate as not smart off of just a couple of sentences he said, versus taking that as an opportunity to share more with him or to just even see what else he might know that I might not know and I could learn from, because he could easily do the same for me. That I don't have a vast knowledge in an area that he might be a subject matter expert. He might write me off as OOH
