Things: copy from the past, delete from the present, save for all time?

Or even some of the naming names of things that would most definitely be canceled today. And these conversations can range from fashion trends to traditions for holidays, to certain dishes or candy all sorts of things. And so I want to pose three questions to you these don't have to be physical items, they could be anything. So the first question is what is something from the past that you wish you could bring forward to now?

Let's play with a new feature.

@SeekingPlumb

What is something from the past that you would like to revive?

What is something from the past that you would like to revive, bring back from the dead, to make a thing again?

@SeekingPlumb

You something to bring back from the past is probably Sunday dinners. I live far away from family now, and I'm from a big Italian family. And so at one point in my life, family dinners were a big thing. And now Sundays are generally just me in the kitchen doing the cooking and mostly doing the cleaning too. And I kind of miss it sometimes, but

Christina for me, it's going to be playing sports on the streets when kids come back home from school. I think that's something the current generation of kids are completely missing out on, and it's something we used to do all the time, and that's how we knew our neighborhood kids. The fact that kids no longer do that is such a shame. I would love to bring that back, to bring back that sense of community in your neighborhood
@SeekingPlumb

@RensLens @sudha

I love both of these responses. It really brings it back to people, to connection, to community, to this richness of living outside of technology and a really I don't know, some sort of a groundedness I really appreciated your responses. Thank you. Thank you both

I just posed a similar question, but just specifically about this one thing, and that is, how do we bring Black back? Excuse me? The click of a landline. I don't know how old you are, but I'm Gen X. And so I remember when you could slam a phone and hit that button and go, click. And it was real defined that yeah, that's the end of this conversation. I've said all I'm going to say to you
@SeekingPlumb

@FarikaB_Redux

I am Gen X Two. But I completely forgot about that. I guess I haven't been hung up on enough times. Is there such a thing as enough times? And I don't know of how many people I've hung up on, but I completely forgot. You're right. There's nothing like that with the cell phone. I suppose if you wanted to imitate it or at least exercise your annoyance before clicking, quote unquote clicking. Like holding down a number so that it beeps

I didn't understand it at that point in time, but having this downtime, that was mandatory and forced upon me and that it felt like I could never get to sleep. But let me tell you, when I switched to first grade in that time period, that downtime was no longer available. I missed it immediately. I could feel the loss, the magnitude of that loss. And I would get so sleepy and irritable around that time. Fast forward to now
@SeekingPlumb

@Her_Sisu

This is a good one. This is a good one. I take naps myself. I mean, I guess it depends on one's perspective. Maybe instead one might describe it as multiple sleep cycles in a 24 hours period. But oh my goodness, the the nap is so important. I mean, I've read articles of like a few things. First

What is something from the present that you would love to forever delete?

On the flip side of that, I am withdrawing it as an answer because I am so grateful for that experience, because it has brought me where I am today and is allowing me to lead a full and off authentic life. And that part I wouldn't trade for the world
@SeekingPlumb

@Her_Sisu

I love this answer. Jail, I love this answer
@SeekingPlumb

What is something, real or imagined, that you would love to always be?

And what is something from past or present or even your imagination that you would love to be a thing for all time, never to go away? It would always be available, present, a thing

My kavapoo. Luca. He's like the cutest dog ever, but he's just so sweet and kind and loving and he's just a snuggle bug. And I've never had a dog just as sweet as him. I wish he could be here forever with me
@SeekingPlumb

@RensLens

This just makes me happy. Lots of warm fuzzies. I just imagine his little playful energy as I hear him sometimes in the background. It just is happy making, you know?

It's something that I would love to be a constant in my life is a day where there is soft wind, where it's a gentle breeze, a welcomed breeze. Not the one that causes people to shiver and need to grab a coat, but just one that is like, OOH, you feel that breeze? That was nice
@SeekingPlumb

@Her_Sisu

RJ l if I could, I'd wave a wand and give you that perfect day on a consistent basis. It just sounds ideal. I mean, I would prefer slightly different parameters, but yeah, just yeah, no expectations. Just to be with the perfect weather, I'd probably go ten to 15 degrees cooler. And I would include rain with a mix of sun, too. Definitely the breeze, and most definitely the naps

But then Farika had mentioned that when you were on the phone and you're done in the finality of it, and you hang it up and there's this click. And yes, I miss all of that. Even just to have it in your home as some vintage form of artistic expression to remind you of that day when things were simpler, especially with respect to phones. Might be kind of cool, maybe in my guest room
@SeekingPlumb

@RensLens @FarikaB_Redux

Okay, I don't know if that there's right and wrong ways to do this yet, but you revealed something I didn't even know was possible. I thought that only I could put questions out, but listeners can, too. That's kind of cool. So I guess you hit the ask button in the top right corner of the swell, and so now yours appears like a question. And so anybody can hit the answer, and their answers go underneath yours. That is really cool

You. Look, you're just going to have to do another swell cast on this because I can assure you I'm screwing this up. Because that last swell that you replied that you just posted just now, I cannot reply to that. There is no option to reply. If I hit the three little dots on the bottom right, it asks me if I want to report your reply or Renee well and the only option is to go up to the top right and ask another question
@SeekingPlumb

@RensLens https://s.swell.life/STg2Husm7JtFAhI

I would say it's neither. I don't think it's a glitch. And it's not you. I found this myself too. And your wish is my command. I've already created that. Swell. I'd link it here. But I hit reply first. So I'll go get a link and bring it back
