Racist & fatphobic or evidence of a disability?

And this is really disturbing to me because there's a lack of awareness of so many different things, whether we're talking the surface level understanding of ADHD, whether we're talking about the stereotypes of autism, or whether we're talking about how someone perceives another person. And I realize that we can't necessarily blame individuals because the knowledge has been reduced to such a degree that it makes little sense anymore. And then those reduced ideas are perpetuated

A dangerous game.

Okay, I'm not aware of the disability, but I'm just gonna be candid. It's very convenient that that disability could cover up, like, racism with I mean, is that something you get diagnosed with? Is it something you take medication for? I don't know. I'm just asking because I'm wondering. I can imagine a lot of other celebrities. Oh, yeah, I have that too. When I said that statement that it was offensive

But I wanted to throw it out there as a possibility, because as someone who has multiple invisible illnesses and disabilities, I know what it's like to be on the receiving end of doubt, dismissal, non belief, etc. And what that feels like. And, like, now there's a massive piling on. And what if just what if there is another factor involved?

But, yeah, maybe she could become a spokesperson for facial blindness as a condition because obviously a lot of people are unaware of this. And ultimately I want to believe no real harmful intent was done, because it's how many people, especially someone of her stature who is a millionaire, I don't know, billionaire, probably wouldn't keep up with most TV shows or movies, so it's interesting that she would even know Precious at all

I wanted to say thank you for the various points that you brought up. They're so important and this topic needed those. And so I just wanted to say thank you so much for highlighting them and doing it the way that you did and bringing out these other aspects. Thank you

And unfortunately, as I was reading, this illness does not have any you can't really do anything about it other than, like you said, develop kind of like tricks to kind of like or not tricks, but whatever. You were saying that develop ways to recognize people via characteristics or connecting dots here and there. But I really feel like nowadays we are living in a society where we automatically judge people and we don't really give them the benefit of the doubt

@lamepanda1989

Yeah, it's a tough one. Like it seems to be somewhat of a spectrum similar to the way that autism is in that how much face blindness she might be experiencing. Because I would have said adamantly that I did not have this. And the comments that were sent to me by others I thought were gaslighting me particularly because neither they nor myself had ever heard of face blindness. Yes, thank you. That is the word
