Human but reminded I'm a zebra, an "alien".

And repeatedly being reminded of my otherness can be demoralizing, alienating, and I was really struggling with that, yet again with another reminder. But in this particular case, it actually worked out that my alienness set me free in a way. So social audio has been an incredible gift to me because it strips away a good portion of the incoming data. I'm not taking in the environment with which we're communicating, in the sights, smells, sounds

Because they can, I don't want to say dump everything, but they can dump a lot on, or at least be very open, and they don't feel there's a personal, social, emotional risk because they're not likely to see from you or hear from you again unless it's choice. And even so, let's say I met them in Virginia at the train station. There are certain degrees of separation there, namely distance, right? They're not in your everyday life

I completely agree. There's still this amazingness with social audio. I still think it's a double edged sword. I had to laugh when you talked about these kinds of conversations and having with people in real life and the eye rolling and so on, that was my existence for most of my life. So keeping the thoughts, the questions, ideas in my own head until social audio came around
