Doing vs. Being; Relationally.

There are ripple out effects of how we relate to one another, how we see or value another person, what it means to live a full life or a fulfilling life or what is time well spent or any of these other sorts of ideas in the game of poker. The poker chips sort of help us keep track of how someone is doing in the game, right? The more chips you have, the better they're doing, the fewer you are in trouble

A reminder for me that it's important for me to pause and recognize and see myself daily and throughout the day, because sometimes I'm not great with it, and I miss the mark sometimes. But being in the space of being grateful and honoring who I am and how I show up, then that will allow me to see all of my traits and be grateful for them. Thank you for sharing this reflection

It's so funny that you say this and that you don't feel like you're always great about seeing yourself, but I just left a response on your birthday as well, saying quite the opposite and how much I appreciate how you do see yourself and how you do celebrate yourself. And not just in a generic way, but articulating what it is that you appreciate about yourself
