OMG! They're the same person! πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Is this the person that it belongs to? And all of these are the sort of questions that I go through. And so on the one hand. It's extremely fascinating to sort of observe and sort of think through how I identify people and make sense of people. But at the same time realizing it's not normal and it's not universal. Where some faces are extremely recognizable to me and some others aren't. I sort of share this

Hello, good evening, this is Iron and let me clear the air for you. Yes, these are the same people, that me, but the content in each of these is totally different. Bus Talk is a podcast which only focuses on things which happen to us at the workplace. So office related stuff, it could be strategies, it could be hiring people, management insights, career insights and so on and so forth

Though there was one time where a person had told me on here, Rumple Soulskin, she had commented that she wanted to go to my Instagram just to see what I had looked like. And I thought that was interesting because I've been on these apps for so d*** long that I'm just so used to my face being plastered that it's sometimes nice to see a break from me. But I wonder, can it be difficult for you? At times?

White people look all the same to me. I don't mean to be offensive, but white people look all the same to me. Black people look all the same to me. I can only tell differences when I look at Indian faces. So, you know, I'd go away with somebody all enthusiastically, hey, Justin. And the guy would say, well, f*** you, Justin, so on, so and I've told you so many times

It makes me think of one of my favorite authors. Brandon Sanderson is constantly keeping multiple either series of books on the go that he's writing or just multiple types and genres of books, because the mind, like any muscle, right, needs to be exercised. And I think that the more that we do it, the stronger it can get with respect to creativity or making connections and so on

@FryedOreo

I would still know that that's you and even if you did show a photo, not to mention the things I've already said, you know, hair and context, but you can make any facial expression, and I still recognize it as you. And I don't know why that is. With some people, I have no problem with anything that they change about themselves, still seeing them as them

@avichand

With respect to individuals on Clubhouse, they change their avatar and or their username Chand or their profile and all of those pieces of data are suddenly gone. And so any network I may have created that represented this particular person suddenly has lost its mooring. And now I have no idea who this person is. And because it's not something that can really be tested for, we sort of have to take the word of the person who's saying, yeah, this weird thing, this really is my experience

This definitely was a fascinating post. I'm commenting to Bookmarket so I can come back to it and listen to it one more time to make sure, because I'm multitasking, I'm cleaning and listening at the same time. So I want to make sure I captured what you've described clearly. But thank you for posting this

Like, say he meets a new person, and you say, what do they look like? He stumbles. He starts telling you about their personality. Anyway, what I really like about this is he doesn't care what people look like. I really enjoy that because you can have gained weight, or maybe your hair is looking crap, or maybe your skin is looking terrible. He doesn't even notice. He's far more interested in personalities. And I love this about him

Or even when there's child actors that then grow up over the course of multiple seasons of a show, there's a certain point when I'm like, is this really the same character? Like, the witcher had a girl the first season, the second season, same woman, but now she's grown up. Her bone structure has changed. And I was convinced it wasn't the same person. Now there's the boy who then grew up over multiple seasons of I'm having a brain fart

@SeekingPlumb Nose job

Or that person's had Botox, or that person's had their hair changed slightly. Like, I am fascinated with the minutiae of change in people. It's almost the point of obsession. It's ridiculous. So, yeah, I'd like to be more like my friend. Also. Recognizing actors is fun and as they change and grow you know that actress who was in Piggy Blinders? She's doing really well. I can't remember her name. I think she's Irish or English
@SeekingPlumb

@GeorgieDee

So interesting. It makes me think of, like I can do that minutiae observation observing of the micro expressions and things, but and if I'm trying to figure out if this is the same person or not, I will zoom in, essentially on each facet. Right. So that the character in The Witcher, the girl in the first season versus the second season. I noticed that her lips were fuller, the cheeks were different. And there was something else too
