For the collective to thrive, we need an equilibrium between the individual & the collective.

And as time went by and they continued to test these children, that percentage began to go down to the point when they got to adulthood, only 2% tested as creative geniuses. And the conclusion NASA came to was that it's the education system that quote, unquote, dumbed us down. I think there's a little bit more nuance to that, because some people interpret that to mean that they shouldn't send their kids through the education system. Again, I think there's some more nuance here

But I also know that the education that we have, the way the system, like our teaching subjects that we have, you know, many kids or people will say, well, I don't need to learn this. This is nothing that's going to apply to my career

So I think. I think that even though we definitely need improvements I don't think it's any longer how it originally was which was really bad as far as just pumping out people that are set for kind of like a factory line work kind of thing. I think we have improved beyond that at this point. But anyhow this was such a great swell. I got so much out of it, every word of it. Thank you so much for sharing it almost sanity out

And yeah, I completely agree that the education system is, even if it's not ideal, it is exercising the muscle when it's a better time for it to be exercised. Right, when you've got. My understanding is that the brain goes through this pruning of the synapses, and that happens starting from toddlerhood, but up through childhood. And I guess it varies depending of when it ends, but basically they're sponges. That's when you want to do all of the learning

So the crowd relies on, like, classic itineraries, and individually, people detest those. You know, the crowd seeks success by laws and rules, and individuals are fascinated by exceptions. And I wanted to mention just a couple of quick examples. I thought of geniuses who had a mind capable enough to live on both sides of that fracture, like one was the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA and how that went against, like, conventional sciences

But they also went against the establishment. Another one I can think of right away is Einstein, who was not actually the smartest person in the room all the time

It doesn't have to be those who are quick thinkers versus those who are slower thinkers. It doesn't have to be an either or. And in fact, I think it's better, better if we have everyone, because you need people who can make those snap decisions when needed, but you also need the people who can think more deeply and broadly about things as well to make those kinds of decisions. And you need those people to work together
