Trending, curiosity. πŸ€”

So this is not really any sort of priority. This is more a question of curiosity, just because I'm fascinated. But again, not a high importance of any kind. And if you don't get to it, no worries at all. I noticed I put two swells out yesterday, so it was the same day. They have the same number of people who interacted with it. However, they do have different number of listens, different number of likes and different number of engagements

You. All right, I'll add my thoughts to this. I think what determines to be trending, the priority first is how much responses you get and also I think is determined on how many people are responding. So I just took a look at the trending. I just scrolled through like the last seven or eight trending swells and I do tend to notice that the responses are kind of what get it trending up more

It's a very certain kind of quality and I think that it's natural for people to want to try to lean into what's valued and I e what's featured. But that's why I think it's important that what's featured is broadened. But who am I to say these things? Because I'm just an average user. I don't know if that was really communicated very clearly, but hopefully something there made sense

And I think this is what has got me in trouble in the past, with the anchors of the world as well as swell, where I have, like, a chip on my shoulder. I am out here to prove them wrong, that my stuff is of value, but they probably don't even look at what I'm doing in that context or that frame of reference at all. And that's just my personal motivation to keep curating work, I guess you could say

I am thinking of it in this sort of framing of I don't know that I want to use this language because sometimes it's irritating when I hear it and it's used so often, but wounded child. Right. The stuff that may have happened in my past or how I was invalidated as a child or whatever, it's like I constantly seek to be validated in like I was told, I'm not necessarily really smart. Right. My brother was the golden child

And I think we all have our thing that motivates us to record Swells every day. And what you had to say was very interesting in terms of the relationship with your brother and you growing up in sort of the shadow of him in terms of intelligence and all that sort of stuff, to where someone like me would have thought you were, like, a child prodigy or something, because you just seem to be so natively smart, where you just know a lot of things
