Vegans, how do you prioritize your moral stances? I'd like to understand.

And again, why these specific morals over others? Why these specific perspectives over others? And then would these perspectives change if we threw in everything so not only looking at consciousness and animals, but consciousness and plants? Not only looking at the environment and animals, but the environment and plants, would this change anything? I'd love to hear all perspectives. If you happen to be vegan, I would also very much love to hear your thoughts

For me, most of my diet consists of energy bars or cereal bars and Red Bulls. So I don't know what that would be considered. Maybe closer to omnivore considering especially with Red Bull, you can't even pronounce half the stuff they got there. And I think I've mentioned it before, but vegans preach and judge other vegans the most. It's mind blowing to watch there's. Once again, that high and mighty complex. Like I vegan better than you and things like that

I’m plant based because of the health benefits

So I started getting worried about the whole cancer thing, and I went down this huge rabbit hole, and I started listening to rich roll, which, again, I am not plant based because of a moral like, I don't agree with killing animals. I'm not crazy about the idea of killing animals. I'm not going to kill animals in general, although we have shots and things. This is north idaho, after all. You got to shoot something

Plant based is better for disease recovery

But the point is, you got to have good gut health, too. That's really important, too. The funny thing about a high protein diet, though, oh, my goodness, there's so many rabbit holes. Like, the human body is amazing, and it can repair itself and you can injure it just by what you eat. It's very important. People don't realize that

But as for, I don't know, moral stance, I guess. I don't have an opinion either way. But you put an interesting perspective on it. So I'm probably going to listen to this again because, like I said, it was very interesting. And I just love the way you explain and describe and put things out there. So you have a great day and we will hear from you again, I'm sure. Bye

It's a belief system called they're called the Janes, the people are and then Jainism, I think, I think it's J-A-I-N-I-S-M-I think, and basically, don't quote me on this, you'll have to look it up. But that they value all life, as in they won't even step on an insect accidentally. They will be quite aware of where they're walking, and they'll wait for the insect to pass before stepping, if necessary

You raised some more questions for me that I'm curious about. If I'm understanding correctly, you are plant based now, but not for moral reasons. And you said that plants are not alive in that they don't have blood and they don't breathe, but theo are self replicating, so they're alive in that sense. And then you said something about how theo life of the flesh is in the blood. Now, I know you said that for yourself. There's no moral component

@GoodEnough

And I know it's not real, but a part of me kept thinking what happens in the future if a robot gains sentience or AI is put inside these robots and it looks back on these videos and sees that humans were hitting it, abusing it essentially to test it. Maybe, hopefully there would be some if it's some thought of what's really going on in the creation process

When I was looking at Jainism, it was very much an all or nothing, a very zoomed in perspective of they value life, but at the expense of life. And I couldn't wrap my head around it. But in hearing you talk about it, it's like there's these for the most part that is the case, but there's obviously a little room there for nuance of obviously we have limited ability to entirely preserve life and still be alive. Right
