There's just a lot of complex emotions, and you can really feel the desire of this narrator, Freddie, to understand, like, herself and her relationship and to be in a relationship that feels fulfilling with a girlfriend who loves her and that feeling of queer loneliness in high school, I think I felt so poignantly when I was that age. And so it was very touching to read about somebody who is having the same experience
