broken mirror

article image placeholderUploaded by @sebc23
Hi everyone. This is a poem that I've been working on. It's called Broken Mirror. I am you, or so they tell me. The not quite you, the close enough you, the hopefully only the good parts to you. I see it when I look in the mirror and your hair sprouts from my scalp and your eyes look back into mine. And your crows feet grow from the corner of my eyes as I watch

a poem I wrote about my difficult relationship with my father

And I don't know, you hear me rambling, but after hearing that poem, this is what really drawn out of me, because it took many years, and I'm still going through it, learning to love myself as much as I can. And I always do my mirror work, which is why it hooked me that title, Broken Mirror. That mirror is not broken. Our perception of that mirror is what's broken

The inspiration. 🙏🙏🙏

Hi there. I just wanted to say how much I loved this poem. After hearing multiple sources of inspiration from Swell users last night, I listened to this poem as well, and and I was like, wow. So it inspired me to write one myself and share it on here. So I just wanted to say thank you, and I think yours is fantastic. I hope that you share more I because it's really great. Have a good day

@Freshslade

So I'll definitely be incorporating that into my little morning and night self love routines. But overall, I just wanted to say thank you so much. I can't tell you how much it means to hear a share from somebody who is a queer person who's been really working on healing and loving themselves. It's very empowering. And I salute you for all the work I've done. Because you've done, because I'm certainly not quite there yet. But, yeah
