Daily Refresh: Psalm 119:11
We give our time and minds to things so that we can use them well. King David wanted to know God. He knew in order to know God, he would need to know God's word because he knew that scripture would keep him from sinning against God. He even wrote, I will meditate on your percepts. On your precepts. I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways. Psalm, chapter 119, verse 15
He is said to have copied the Bible four times. The imitation of Christ has at its foundation biblical text more than a thousand of them grouped together under four general headings of the spiritual life, inward things, internal constellation and the communion. Nearly every book of the Bible is represented though this devotional classic draws chiefly from the psalms, the gospel and the epistles. This book, read slowly, in brief portions at a time can encourage a new commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ
I mean, we all know what that's about, or you should know what that's about. But yeah, that's culture, that's history. And people just throwing it away or they're burning them up or whatever they're doing to it. I'm going to tell you, I still got tons of albums from when I was a kid. Shoot, listening to music on vinyl. That's your education right there, too. You know why?

He has several books, but he's a very brilliant, very philosophical writer. But this story is incredible. Yeah. Inspired me to write a couple of things. My goal, also, like you, is to just. I'm going to get on here and just read this book aloud. Another one I started reading is the lamb, which is just a funny retelling of Jesus Christ from the perspective of his best friend that never got a chance to write his gospel
But I found my way back, because here it is going on 20 years later. Well, that's like this. I didn't find her. We found each other when we wasn't looking. And I married the woman that is a godly woman. Not just any woman. She's a godly woman. And that balanced me out, and it straightened me out, and it made me want to do better with my life, and it made me want to do better with our lives together
We're not going to live up to the standard of one very specific individual that existed in one very specific moment in time that walked right into a never. Yeah. If anything, I was like, I'm not dumb enough not to recognize Jesus Christ just as a revolutionary figure. Did everybody forget about that? Did everybody forget about Jesus Christ? He was just the first of a long line. And it didn't stop 2000 years ago. Oh, no

Hey, Sean, thank you so much for this. I absolutely loved it. I enjoyed listening to you break down this scripture. Psalm 119 is one of my favorites. You're never going to get to thank her for everything she did for, you're never going to get to see that day because you are simply dragging all of those riches trying to get through it. Camel's waiting there, standing in line, and you're right behind them and you're not going to get through. You're not going to get through. That's what the scripture means. And Sean's not going to talk about that tomorrow because he's going to do something else
