Do you upgrade every time a new phone comes out and android or Iphone

article image placeholderUploaded by @Scribe7
And I said, well, I might wear it out and have to get an upgrade. Do you upgrade your phone every year? Because the last one I had was no, before that I went from seven to twelve. So that's five years. I'll probably do five years again. I used to give my upgrades to my kids or they would just take it and I didn't know until later. But do you upgrade your phone every year?

So it's been probably close to a year now that I've had an okay, I mean it's, I mike the camera. I'll be honest, I really do like the camera on the iPhone. I think the camera is better than the camera on the Samsung, but Samsung is better functionally, right? For me, Samsung was better functionally

I bought this one and my two girls iPhones, because we're iPhone family, but I was Android, and by the time I finished paying it off, I dropped them 32. Yes. Right? $3,200 for three phones. Until the wheels fall off, until the speaker fall off, until the freaking screen fall off. I'm not upgrading this phone

The first two of them didn't even pick up the receiver, nothing. And they pick it up, put it back down again. They could not figure out those numbers. I was cracking up. I'm like, oh, my God. And they call me Corny. I'm Corny. You know what I mean? They can't even dock a phone. Oh, my God. I guess that's the way we wanted it, though

And she was like, yeah, it's uploaded to the cloud, but I don't want to have to go through all of that. See, that's my sensible daughter. My other daughter, she'll be like, yeah, let me get an upgrade. No, get a job, because I'm not going to do this. You all living better than I ever could have lived as a kid. Like, we didn't have this stuff

Team Apple!

It's. So I do not upgrade my phone every year. I still have an iPhone twelve Promax, and iPhone is getting ready to release a 15 and so I don't upgrade every year. Prior to my twelve, I think the last iPhone I had was an eight. I've had a seven, an eight, I think I jumped to a twelve and and did I have anything in between that?

I mean, they we got to get a whole nother app because he got her Android, and it's just too much for her. And I think the iPhones are pretty much the easiest ones out there. I mean, they're not like that ladybug, which that's what my mom needs, but she ain't going for just it's just simple to use, straight up. You see the little envelope? You press that, there goes your text messages. You know what I mean?

It. I avoid this as much as I can. I remember when it was there was a time it was $50 to upgrade to Mike, not the newest version of the phone. So anytime I upgraded or had it to had to, I would use that that promo and pay $50. Now it's like it's a ridiculous amount of money to pay for the phones. When I upgrade, I really don't get much. I do the same things off the phone

Our family does not upgrade every year. We have Iphones. @Scribe7

Hey, what's going on? Mike scribe seven. Zach here. So just wanted to jump in. I love this conversation. A lot of great points are being brought up and I listen to all the replies and I like them, so I wanted to jump in here. So because I'm only 1717 years old, I'm, you know, I'm not yet in charge of my own phone plan and all that

I do think that when it starts, they intentionally I've heard iPhone in particular will make it to where your phone gets to a point where there's no more updates, or you can't download new apps, so they intentionally will force you to upgrade after some number of years to sell more phones

And upgrading as soon as a new upgrade is out, I just never follow that. I don't have the iPhone twelve or 13 or anything like that. But Mike, I said, But I do have an iPhone, but anytime there's an upgrade, I'm not jumping on that bandwagon until I am ready. Now, do I need to upgrade? Certainly. I will certainly upgrade in due time. Probably much sooner than I think

Because, you know, when it comes to technology, gadgets, we all want to be up to date, have the latest device, look the coolest as a teacher, see all these kids upgrading their phone all the time, especially when they have iPhones, and most of them do have iPhones, and Apple has become like the top tier phone. Me personally, I've had Android, I've had Apple phones, and for a long time I was Android because it was just more cost effective
