Is it football season yet?!??

I guess I could order some wings and pizza, but it doesn't really drive the same way if there's not a football game on the television and there's a lot of rerun games that you watch, but you know the outcome and it's not the same. And even in a couple of weeks we're going to be getting those god awful, boring preseason games that mean nothing and they're basically glorified practices and they're so boring and you don't even really care who wins or loses

Netflix times it perfectly, releasing the show Quarterback, as football fanatics hit withdrawal season. #Football #Streaming

You could subdue your withdrawls with some fantasy football prep.

What is going on. Matt, thank you so much for posting this. I hear you, man. I get withdrawals as well. Not as bad as you do, it sounds like, but I certainly do look forward to the season. The only recommendation I have for you and what keeps me going during this time is preparing for my fantasy football season. So you can do mock drafts ahead of the draft

So one thing that we do to pass the time as we sit around the pool on a weekend is we'll go through the schedule of each team or specific teams, both in college and pro, and we'll assess whether we think they're going to win or lose the game. And we'll go game by game through the schedule and then tally that up at the end and then compare that to the over under that has been set in Vegas for wins on the season

I will say that I share both your excitement and your impatience at the impending football season. We are at the point of the summer where I think we have hit a certain line of demarcation and that for me, is the start of college football media days. And the great thing about that is, first of all, we're at the point of the season or the preseason where everyone still undefeated and hope springs eternal

And then there'd be a season where I'd have a good group of friends that would invite me to their league and I'd do their league for a year or two. So I've just been rather inconsistent with it as far as the funny thing is, I've always been more of a college fan than a pro fan, and I used to be really good at fantasy. I don't think I ever won a league, but I would definitely make the playoffs and compete for the big prize

So it's kind of like a family thing for them. And they indoctrinated me into Liverpool. And since then, I've gotten a lot more into what us Americans call soccer. So, yeah, I definitely will be checking out the Women's World Cup as well. I love watching it with my daughters. My three year old is obsessed with soccer

Some of it was educated guesses or educated facts, knowing certainly major rivalry games where they always send the full band, or perhaps certain schools that always send at least a pep band. And then it was banned. Social media or websites and figuring out the schedules that they had published and going from there to determine what bands were going to what game. So I ran that Band on the Road series for a number of years. I think it kind of fell by the wayside
