You. Let's get ready to rumble. Wow. The SEC drops the 2024 football opponent schedule. This is just opponent schedule. Who's going to play who? No dates are set, but with the addition of Oklahoma and Texas, we do know who will be playing whom in the first season of a 16 team SEC conference. And wow, lot to chew on with this release date

As expected, the SEC released its 2024 football scedule including new members Texas and OU. The new additions make for some big matchups. #CFB #SEC

You enjoyed listening to your SEC 2024 schedule. It's going to be exciting having Texas and Oklahoma come into the SEC. We'll be glad to have them. They're both good teams. But anyhow, that schedule is interesting and can't wait for it to start. And of course, war eagle. I'm Auburn. So you longhorn fan can keep your Texas. But anyhow, thanks again. Enjoy that. Bye

Of course, as you mentioned, it's not perfect. There are some of the border wars in particular that we will miss out on. But regardless, it does provide a logical stop gap for that potential switchover. And another thing that caught my eye, and I know you're a Texas guy, but I'm going to talk about Oklahoma a little bit because Oklahoma has appeared in the College Football Playoff

As well as the fact that Bob Stoops cut his teeth at Florida. I would have liked to have seen an Oklahoma Florida game, and then when going back to Texas, I would have loved to have seen a Texas Tennessee game because I didn't know this as a native Texan, that apparently the people in Tennessee did not know that Texas calls themselves UT. And apparently this whole battle of the real UT thing is something that was unknown

So having spent time in Tampa, I thought that was an interesting tidbit. But in addition to that, I know that we will soon be seeing the conference showdown. As you mentioned, we won't see Oklahoma, Kentucky in that first year, but that is a future matchup on stoops terms. So, yeah, there's a lot of interest and intrigue to the new look of the SEC
