CFB Five Thoughts: Week One

article image placeholderUploaded by @SanedracSays
I think they'll beat Nebraska and I think that they could easily beat Nebraska, and they can easily beat four teams from the Pac Twelve. I think that is good enough to get into a bowl game. Honestly, I'm looking at a team that's probably going to go eight and four or nine and three somewhere in that range. This is going to be an interesting experiment

Coach Prime and the Buffs are the talk of the town.

Pac 12 goes undefeated

There are four playoff spots, there are five power conferences, there's also Notre Dame, and when you have conferences like the Big Ten and the SEC that seem to dominate the rankings, it's going to be hard to get one of those spots. But I don't think that hurts the quality of what the Pac Twelve has offered these past years. The Pac Twelve is not dissolving because of bad football

The Big 12 did not make a good first impression

But I think UCF and Cincinnati might actually make some noise in this Big Twelve race if Oklahoma and Texas don't have anything to say about it. So it'll be interesting to see how this weird year where you have two schools on the way out, four schools who just got here and four schools coming next year, will be an interesting Big Twelve season. We'll see how it goes

GJ Kinne will be the next big coach everyone wants

He was Josh Hypo's, offensive coordinator at UCF for one season before he took over the University of Incarnate Ward. He was there for one season and took them to the FCS Final Four. Incarnate Ward is a startup program. They did not have football until like, 2009. So that is a pretty big deal to get a program to that level. And they went toe to toe with FCS powerhouse North Dakota State. And I remember watching that game

My Horns rebound from a sloppy first half and eat a big bowl of Rice

Obviously, the smart money is Alabama. I, as an objective college football fan, think Alabama will win, but of course I'm a fan first. I love my Longhorns, and I think if they can pull this upset in Tuscaloosa, this would certainly set the stage for what Texas fans have been dreaming about for what's going on 1213 years now since they last played in the national title

@SanedracSays Sun Belt strikes again!

Stanford probably won't be that great and we'll see what UCLA has. I mean they beat a Coastal Carolina team that's very know this is a very solid conference. The bad thing about getting to the College Football Playoff is you almost have to go undefeated or just have one loss and win the conference to actually get into the CFP. And I think that's very tough in this conference. I think it's going to be very tough to go undefeated into Pac Twelve
