Irish Nell/Redhead Granny

article image placeholderUploaded by @Sabjer
Hey, subjour here and happy Women's history month. This poem that I'm about to share is called irish nail or redhead Granny and is dedicated to the eldest ancestor that I know. Great Grandma Butler rocked in her chair with a face full of freckles and reddish brown hair. She looked over at me and slowly smiled, beckoning me to come sit by her side. I said, grandma, why do you look the way you do?

A poem dedicated to my ancestors Nell and Charles. #poetry #Womanshistory #art

That is one of the most powerful and beautifully written poems I have ever heard in my 74 years of living. Just fantastic. It's the kind of poem I like that you're telling a story, a story that could be shared around a campfire, around a dining table, in a room with lots of people in it. Sir, it is just an epic poem. You have done just such great work. Thank you for sharing

Please tell me that you've submitted this somewhere or that you're going to have your own book of poems that this poem is going to go within, because top tier. This is so well written, so beautiful. The imagery, the ability to tell the story without using a whole lot of descriptors or going overboard. It's so masterfully told. Kudos. I'm kind of at a loss for words. This is an impeccable poem, so grand in scope and just amazing
