But if you're a family member and you've never been through it, just shut up and listen. Just be there for them. Give them what they need. If they ask for something, give it to them. If they need a ride, give them a ride. They need you to feed them, feed them. They need you to listen. Listen, but don't offer advice that you really have no clue because it's a different situation than you've ever been through
