The Natyashastra

The changes may be intentional or unintentional. Scribes must have blundered by omitting verses here and there. Use of different meters, et cetera, cannot be reduced as reasons for priority or posteriority. Paratha is reputed to be the author of this work. Originally, the word paratha was used in sense of an actor in a drama. The treatsy dealing with the activities of a paratha or intended as a guide to him came to be called as Bharata shastra

The Natyashastra is written by sage Bharata. It is a Sanskrit guide to drama. #collegevoiceindia #swellcast #philosophy

Hi. It really amuses me how the wealth of knowledge has been passed on to generations with all the technicalities intact and of course, a few here and there. Buying that again, really thanks for bringing something so important to the platform, because I know a lot of people nowadays are interested in acting, and of course, to achieve that, they do really need to know the basics and the history of it. So really kudos to you for bringing it forward

Hi Rucha. You're another swell. I really loved it. Again telling about the Sanskrit guide to drama and it really highlights Indian philosophy and the drama and how it is explained in our culture. Really impressively. And thanks to you for bringing this topic into highlight limelight where everyone is just talking about the things that are influenced by Western culture. So it's really important to speak about our own culture and bring it into limelight for everyone to know about it. Thank you
