The festival of Raksha Bandhan & gender equations
So the words Raksha Bandhan mean exactly that. Raksha means protection and Bandhan means a bond. So that's what this festival stands for. And there are several stories, some legendaries, some otherwise that are around this festival. For instance, we have the story of Krishna and Draupadi and we have the story of Yam and Yamuna and we have the story of Rani Karnavati and the Mughal emperor Humayo

And you're very right on the fact that it's not only limited to brother, the sister tying Rocky to the brother, because they're sisters who tie Rocky to each other as well. And it shares a bond of love and the care that we share among siblings. So we have people, ancestors who tie Rocky and you can tie Rocky to anybody whom you feel as connected as a sibling or connected as a much more stronger bond
