The X Factor - what does the phrase really mean?
You. Hi everyone. The term x has gained a lot of currency in the last, I think, 48 hours since the name of Twitter has been changed to x. And that set me thinking and I started to wonder, like, what exactly does the phrase x factor stand for? I know perhaps X factor doesn't have anything directly to do with the new name that Elon Musk has chosen for Twitter, but nevertheless, it set me thinking about the phrase x factor
