Aldous Huxley & the Bhagavad Gita

article image placeholderUploaded by @RSFoundation20
Huxley claims that the theology of the Gita is relevant to all religious people, not just to the Hindus, because, he says, it presents the basic elements of a larger spiritual worldview. Not only are his views illuminating, but they also make one nostalgic for an era when broadening one's horizons of knowledge was considered key to intellectual pursuits, and a holistic view of all religions lay at the tracks of understanding and internalizing the true essence of spirituality

Not from you of course, but from someone who might listen to it and might get hurt by the use of the word that said and you knew the b*** was coming, didn't you? That said the only thing I have to say here is the moment, religious or not, the moment people pick up all of these different scriptures that ultimately led to a religion to form itself, which ultimately led to organize religion. Again, two very different things

Hi Binati. Thank you for your response. And first of all, let me say that I am neither a nonbeliever, nor an agnostic, nor an atheist, but I am a non ritualistic person. I'm not even sure if I see myself as a religious person person, but God fearing, yes, but non ritualistic. And therefore, when I wrote this book, I got very mixed and very interesting reactions from people. And a lot of them said, oh, you've written a book

I must say that it has really enlightened me to the extent that it's not always about you shouldn't be thinking it in terms of a religious text because religion is just a part of it. It's more about spirituality, how we can control our mind, how we can control our inner being to become a better individual. It's all in the mind. And how our mind plays a kind of a trickster with us all the time
