Broken bone and a broken spirit

article image placeholderUploaded by @RoxyTalks
I had to wait nine days for surgery and I think those were some of the longest days of my life. I have never broken anything and I can see why an event such as this one would really change your life, alter your life and everything that you've ever had. For routines, consistency really goes out the window. I am a parent of two boys and it really has changed all of our lives

Hey, thank you so much for sharing your heart and your story here. I can definitely feel the truthfulness and the weight of it for you, and I just want to send some love to you. I know what it has to feel like, the acceptance process of just kind of living in that state where it's, like, just so unbelievably dependent

Thank you for the support and encouragement. I really started this account to just let out my person, and I've been going to counseling for about a year and a half, almost. I just had a really interesting conversation with my person about broken and brokenness and no, I don't feel broken. You're right. I feel wounded. It's been a really hard journey, especially because I've been taking care of children for a long time
